Google Pixel 2

Image
Today we are going to be talking about the newest phone in the Pixel series, the Google Pixel 2. First, we will be talking about its design. From the back of the phone, it looks quite nice with an aluminium back. The aluminium on the back isn't shiny which I prefer because a shiny back leads to loads of fingerprints which makes the phone look less beautiful. On the back, there is also the piece of glass covering the camera and the flash just like last year from the Pixel. This is said to improve connectivity to Wi-Fi and calls. The front side of the phone, in my opinion, isn't as good-looking as the back for 2017. The Google Pixel 2 still contains the big bezels on the top and bottom of the screen which is surprising. The 2 main phones Google is competing against is Apple and Samsung and both of those companies are turning to bezel-less displays. Other than that the overall display of the phone is good. The biggest feature Google is Advertising about this phone is its camera....

iPhone 8 and 8+

Image
The iPhone 8 and 8+ officially released yesterday and I have to say, it looks really good. I am not really a fan of Apple but this year they are starting to make me decide whether to buy one of their products. What draws me away from Apple is the price though. This year, for the iPhone 8 64GB version it is £699 and for the 256GB version, it is £849. What if you want to go for the bigger phone I hear you asking. For the 8+ the 64GB option is £799 and for the 256GB option, it rises to about £949. If you don't have all the money to spend at once, on Vodafone you can pay from £44 for the iPhone 8 64GB phone. Enough about money, let's speak about the actual phone. The new phones don't look much different from the iPhone 7 from the outside. The main difference would be that on the iPhone 8 you are now getting a glass back and front which allows for wireless charging. On the back, you also just getting the Apple logo and iPhone. This makes the backside of the phone look cleaner....

Bagel- The Smart Tape Measure

Image
Today we are going to talk about Bagel. Bagel is the world's smartest tape measure. This tape measure helps everyday tasks to become easier. Bagel can measure almost anything whether it is at home or at work. This device has three different modes. String mode, Wheel mode and Remote mode. String mode is useful for measuring things in straight lines and curves. Wheel mode is useful for measuring irregular and odd shaped objects. Remote mode is useful for measuring things far away from you. With Bagel you can also save your measurements with voice descriptions. All you have to do is press a button, say what you want it to be known as and then it gets sent to the app where you can review the measurement. Bagel is also more precise than your average tape measure. This piece of tech is £70. For my American readers that is $89. I recommend this gadget for anyone who is fed up of having so many devices to measure something. You can learn more information by watching this YouTube video he...

Weird Technology Wednesday - The Right Cup

Image
This invention they call The Right Cup seems pretty interesting. It is a cup that makes water taste like juice. It does this by having a sweet aroma of the flavour you want to drink. There is also a hint on the flavour your drinking around the rim of the cup. This makes your brain think you are drinking juice when really you are drinking healthy water. This is a really a good idea and I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't like water.

Weird Technology Wednesday- Invisible Helmet

Image
Today on this weird day I made we are going to talk about an Invisible Helmet. You heard me alright. It is something you apply to your neck and when if feels impact an airbag covers your head. The airbag is made from super-strong nylon that doesn't tear when scraped across the ground. There is a video that explains this better than I could. If anyone who reads this wants a new helmet, this could be the one.
